The exhibition commemorated the 100th anniversary of Ramón J. Sender's birth. Given the succession of historical moments, places and sensitive events that played a role in his writings, the exhibition followed a referential structure, rather than a linear sequence of data and events, within a logical chronological frame. Time, allied with memory, was the guiding concept, with six sections about Sender's life and the evolution of his political and critical ideas, an essential part to understanding his unique contribution to literature, journalism and the arts. Each of these blocks included a selection of original documents, books, newspapers, periodicals and paintings by the author of Réquiem por un campesino español, La tesis de Nancy and Crónica del alba. Original works by other authors illustrated and defined the concepts that govern Sender's world.
