The exhibition coincided with a series with the same title organized by the Residencia de Estudiantes. It displayed documents from Emilio Casares' private collection and other sources, pertaining to composers of the Generation of 27. There were six display cases structured in chronological order with autographed musical scores, newspaper articles, photographs, letters, publications and original periodicals related to composers such as Manuel de Falla, lgor Stravinsky, Adolfo Salazar, Oscar Esplá; the brothers Rodolfo and Ernesto Halffter; Conrado del Campo's students Julián Bautista, Salvador Bacarisse and Fernando Rivet; Gustavo Pittaluga, Rosita García Ascot, the Residencia de Estudiantes' role in Madrid musical scene, and finally the Catalan group. Among the highlights were the first edition of Heraldos, the piano version by Salvador Bacarisse (1923), Colores by Julián Bautista (1923), Gustavo Pittaluga and Lamote Grignon's letters to Manuel de Falla, lgor of Stravinsky's photo dedicated to "Rosita Bal y Gay" [Rosa García Ascot, married to Jesús Bal y Gay], and a picture of her playing piano in a concert conducted by Pittaluga at the Residencia de Estudiantes.
