To commemorate the centenary of the Residencia de Estudiantes, the exhibition Dalí, Lorca and the Residencia de Estudiantes examines the connections between these two great artists of the 20th century during the eight years of friendship they shared.
Cubism, Futurism, purity, objectivity and Surrealism are reflected in the exhibition, which aims to reconstruct the intellectual link that was established between the two geniuses in the international avant-garde milieu. The exhibition presents the most significant works of both artists, and a selection of pieces by other artists, including Picasso, Derain, Cézanne, Le Corbusier, De Chirico, Miró, and Ernst.
Dalí, Lorca and the Residencia de Estudiantes is co-organized by the Obra Social "la Caixa" and the Sociedad Estatal de Conmemoraciones Culturales (SECC), in collaboration with the Fundación Gala-Salvador Dalí, the Federico García Lorca Foundation and the Residencia de Estudiantes.
