The exhibition highlighted the intellectual exchange that grew out of the friendship between Federico García Lorca and his contemporaries, some of the most significant artists of the Spanish avant-garde in the first third of the 20th century. It exhibited works, drawings, paintings, musical scores, books, letters, and photographs  by Salvador Dalí, Benjamín Palencia, Ismael de la Serna, Ramón Gaya, Norah Borges, Manuel Ángeles Ortiz, Rafael Alberti, Vicente Alexandre, Manuel Altolaguirre, José Bergamín, Luis Cernuda, Gerardo Diego, Jorge Guillén, Vicente Huidobro , León Felipe, José Moreno Villa, Emilio Prados, Luis Buñuel, and Pedro Salinas, as well as musical scores and correspondence with Gustavo Durán, Ernesto Halffter, Ángel Barrios, and Juan Cabanes. Most of these documents were exhibited for the first time.
