Manuel de Terán was a great geographer and an excellent teacher. His academic and research career was outstanding. He was actively involved in the intellectual milieu of his time, particularly in the fields of education and knowledge.
 
The exhibition, organized by the Sociedad Estatal de Conmemoraciones Culturales (SECC), an agency of the Ministry of Culture, and the Residencia de Estudiantes, presented Terán in three scenarios: the intellectual, geographical, and personal. These three elements come together to form his scientific and cultural personality.
